Who we are

Technovora builds custom software for businesses and has offices in Sheridan (Wyoming, United States), Hong Kong and Karachi (Sindh, Pakistan). We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us at info@technovora.com.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, work email, company (optional), the topic you pick and your message.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up.
• Estimator: your name, work email, company and phone (both optional), and your answers about the project, such as the solutions you need, its size, where it will be used and how soon you need it.
• Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to limit repeated form submissions, and standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
• Usage data: if analytics is switched on, anonymous page views and clicks, collected without cookies.

Why we use it

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Sending an estimate or a message does not sign you up for the newsletter; only the newsletter form does.

• To reply to your message or send you the estimate you asked for, and to discuss your project. The legal basis is your request and your consent, which you give on the form.
• To send our newsletter, if you sign up for it. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
• To protect the forms from spam and abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working.
• To understand which pages help visitors, so we can improve them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest; the data cannot identify you.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data for us under contract:

• HighLevel: our customer relationship system. What you send through our forms is stored there so we can follow up with you, and it sends our newsletter.
• Upstash: stores short-lived counters of form submissions per IP address, to prevent spam.
• PostHog: cookieless website analytics, hosted in the European Union.
• Our hosting provider: serves the website, keeps standard server logs and runs a security check that blocks automated attacks.
• Sanity: hosts our blog and portfolio content. It does not receive form data.

International transfers

Our team and providers are based in several countries, including the United States, Hong Kong, Pakistan and the European Union. Where data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Messages and estimates: for as long as we are discussing or working on your project, and up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only a record that you opted out, so we never email you again by mistake.
• Spam-protection counters: about 10 minutes.
• Analytics: aggregated and anonymous, kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or privacy laws in the United States, Hong Kong, Australia or Japan), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email info@technovora.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Data stored in your browser

We do not use cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising; our hosting provider may set one short-lived security cookie, described in our cookie policy. Two small items are kept in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme choice, and your estimator answers (never your name or contact details) so you can come back to them. Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to form submissions is limited to the people who need it, and we never write your submissions to our application logs.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above.
